Greenville Business Magazine 2010 April issue : Page 16››business briefs Phillips Staffing Moves Phillips Staffing is moving its Greenville branch office from McAlister Square to a 3,000 square-foot space it has owned for more than 30 years - 108 Edinburgh Court next to United Way’s headquarters. Along with this move, the full-service employment firm will be expanding its operations to include Capita Employer Resources, a payroll processing company. According to Phillips, this office will logistically better accommodate its operations and the 200-to-300 jobseekers it assists each week on-site. Downtown Airport Now Leasing Space The Greenville Airport Commission is actively seeking businesses for its seven parcels of land that range in size from 2.5 to 18 acres. This marks the first time these parcels have been listed on the commercial real estate market. GMU is centrally located in the Greenville business district and offers a convenient location for corporate offices, warehouses, data processing centers, freight distribution centers and aviation related companies. The leasing of the parcels has been awarded to Hunter Garrett, CCIM, SIORand Tyson Smoak of NAI Earle Furman. The plots have flexible zoning and are available for long-term lease. The Airport Commission is also interested in bringing a restaurant on site to an available building that is located close to the busiest runway. Beside the proposed restaurant is some land where an aviation park could be built. The free public park may have a playground, picnic pavilion, walking trail and/or retired aircraft on display. Patient Appreciation Month a Success Greenville EyeCare Associates held their annual patient appreciation month during February. For the entire month, every patient treated was presented with a specially made memo board and bookmark designed with eye health tips. Maintaining healthy vision and the importance of annual eye exams were stressed during the month. Greenville Featured in Magazine US Airways Magazine devoted 30 pages to Greenville in their March 2010 edition. The comprehensive articles cover the city’s history, arts scene, shopping, food offerings, employment, commerce, industry, nightlife and entertainment choices.
